Mukuvisi Woodlands - Ecotourism Facility of the Year 2022

Mukuvisi Woodlands was proud to win the Award for Ecotourism Facility of the Year at the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority's Twalumba National Travel and Tourism Awards 2022, which took place in February 2023. Current Mukuvisi Woodlands Chairman Harry Idensohn accepted the Award for Mukuvisi. This recognition was a great credit to the dedicated people who have contributed, and continue to contribute, so much of their time and effort, to ensuring that these lovely Woodlands can continue to provide a beautiful place to visit and enjoy a stunning natural environment, even so close to a city centre. The Woodlands also provide the perfect setting for city children to learn about their precious environment and wildlife - and the Mukuvisi Eco-Schools Programme does vitally important work to create such learning opportunities. Thank you to all those involved in so many ways with the Woodlands, past and present, whose contributions and care have led to this national acknowledgement of the important environmental roles that are fulfilled by our beautiful Woodlands and Education Centre.
